Vintage Place
Welcome

Vintage Place is a member of the Reston Association.

Annual Vintage Place Meeting- Monday, October 16, 2017, 7PM at Aldrin Elementary.

10/12/2017
The remainder of Vintage Place paving will take place tomorrow, Friday, October 13, 2017.
All cars must be moved from Vintage Place (the street, NOT the entire neighborhood) by 7AM Oct 13th or your vehicle will be towed.
Vehicles should be able to return to the lot by 8PM on Friday but must pay close attention to any signs, cones, etc placed out by the contractor.
Parking is available on Heritage Commons Way/Ct and the very top of Vintage Place, in any of the striped, newly asphalted areas. Stay out of the coned areas please!!
As a reminder, Reston Association has agreed to allow overnight parking at North Hills Pool (North Hills Pool and Tennis, 1325 N. Village Road in Reston ).
Thank you for your patience during this project and please keep in mind work is weather permitting.

10/11/17 6:30PM Paving Project Update!
Today's rain caused delays on the Vintage Place part of the project. We've been told that they will reopen Vintage for parking at some point this evening and plan to stick with the plan of working on Heritage commons Ct/Way on THursday.
Things to remember:
  • Heritage Commons Ct/Way residents must have cars moved by 7AM THursday so move 'em tonight when Vintage Place opens!
  • Parking in Fire Lanes is STILL Illegal! If you parked in yellow curbed areas (fire lanes) you are putting us all at risk. Firetrucks cannot get through in an emergency.
  • Parking at North Hills pool is available! It's not a far walk.
  • According to American Disposal, our trash/recycling will still be picked up tomorrow.

October 2017: Parking Lot Paving Project:
The parking lot is scheduled to be repaved beginning Wednesday, October 11, 2017 - October 13, 2017. Work in the community is expected to take 2 full days with a 3rd day for an remaining items. To help minimize the strain on the community, work will be split into two sections. On the day your section is scheduled, you will need to remove your vehicle from the parking lot between the hours of 7AM-8PM or your vehicle will be towed. We need 100% cooperation so this project can get completed and we can resume normal use of the parking area quickly. Plan accordingly!!

Wednesday, Oct 11 - Vintage Place - The entire street and parking areas will be closed from 7AM - 8PM. Vehicles may enter the lot once work is complete, approx 8PM the same night, but please pay close attention to any signs, cones, etc placed out by the contractor. Keep in mind the reopening times are approximate!
Thursday, Oct 12 - Heritage Commons Way and Heritage Commons Ct - The entire street and parking areas will be closed from 7AM - 8PM. Vehicles may enter the lot once work is complete, approx 8PM the same night, but please pay close attention to any signs, cones, etc placed out by the contractor. We have contacted Reston Association and they have agreed to permit overnight parking at North Hills Pool and Tennis (1325 North Village Rd) for residents that need somewhere to park during the paving project. In addition, you may park on any street within the community that is not scheduled for work on that particular day.
Please note this work is weather permitting and may change, please pay attention to notices, cones, signs, etc placed out by the contractor.

December 16, 2014: Vintage Place Parking Lot UPDATE

November 18, 2014: Vintage Place Trash and Parking Lot Important Notice
After many years of great service the Association recently received notice from CSI/Con-Serv Industries that recycling days would be switched to Wednesdays beginning December 1, 2014.  This change would force the Association to have three (3) service days per week instead of the usual two.   The board did not feel this was a good option for the Community and therefore decided it would be necessary to seek other options.

Beginning December 1, 2014 American Disposal is the Associations new provider.  Trash and recycle days will remain the same.  Trash will be picked up on Mondays and Thursdays and recycling will be collected on Thursdays.   If you have a special pick up item you may contact American (as of December 1, 2014) at 703-368-0500 to arrange for pick up.

In addition to the trash changes noted above please also take notice that the Board of Directors has contracted with Finley Asphalt to repaint the parking space lines and asphalt markings throughout the Community.

August 30, 2013: Fairfax County Pet Leash Law

Dear VP Residents,

Recently an incident occurred in our neighborhood between the pets of two residents. As much as accidents do happen, we want to insure everyone in our community follows all applicable rules and regulations. We pride ourselves in being a pet friendly neighborhood as can be seen  by the many pets in residence, mutt mitts and green areas. But we want to remind you all about the Fairfax County leash law. The exact statute is located here. The first sentence is "No dog shall run unrestricted, as defined in Section 41.1-1-1, in the County."
